Chirripó bailando en Alemania

En un mes, si todo sale bien con la visa, estare rumbo a Europa.

Soy parte de la Compañía de Danza Folklórica Chirripó, y estaremos en Alemania durante una semana, haciendo presentaciones, y después estaremos en Italia por un mes, en la isla de Sardegna, bailando en varios festivales.

Antes yo había bailado acá en Costa Rica para la Embajada de Colombia, y ahora que regreso a los ritmos folklóricos, estoy encantada. Es un grupo muy talentoso, con mucha energía. Viajaremos con músicos (y sí, va una marimba también), mascarada, varios trajes. No seré tica de nacimiento, pero me enorgullece representar su ritmo y sus tradiciones.

In a month, if all goes well with the visa, I'll be on my way to Europe.

I'm part of the Chirripó Folkloric Dance Company, and we'll be staying in Germany for a week, performing at different events. Then we'll move on to Sardegna, an island in Italy, to participate in several folk festivals.

I had danced in Costa Rica before, but as part of the Colombian Embassy's group. Learning different dances from Costa Rica has been amazing, and I'm thoroughly enjoying the experience of being part of such a talented, energetic group.

We will be traveling with our own musicians (and they are packing up the Marimba!), we'll have a Mascarada and several costume changes.

I might not have been born in Costa Rica, but I'm proud to represent its rhythms and traditions.
